"Obviously the current situation has the world upside down, but for me I'm taking it as time to reflect and be grateful for what I have. Becoming a mom has changed my view point on so many things and it's incredibly humbling. This Mothers Day is really special for me as it's my first but I think it's a big one for everyone. Now more than ever is the time to show your fam + friends the love!"
Mother's Day is a special one over here at Midnight Paloma this year.
Our founder Tayler is celebrating her first with son Leo. Whether or not you're fortunate enough to be celebrating Mothers Day in person this year or via FaceTime - we've put together a Bundle
with our best selling Detox Collection to pamper her with Canadian made products.
What's the most rewarding moment of being a mom?
Honestly, everything! Watching Leo grow and thrive is one of the most rewarding things I've ever experienced. I get so much happiness from just being around him.
How did you prepare for motherhood?
I laugh at how I thought I was prepared before - I read all the books, talked with friends, you name it. Nothing can truly prepare you for becoming a mother but that's kind of the beautiful part of it. You get thrown all these new experiences and your natural instinct guides you on how to react.
What is the greatest lesson motherhood has taught you?
Leo has taught me many things. Patience, a love like I've never felt and how precious life is. I look at him experiencing things for the first time and the pure joy I see on his face is so humbling. You learn to slow down and value time.
What is advice you would give mothers who want to be entrepreneurial as well as an active parent?
It's a bit of a balancing act but its totally doable. I definitely felt overwhelmed the first few weeks, but it shortly becomes your new normal and you just adapt. Asking for help is something I've never been very good at, but you will need it and that's okay. (Oh, and if you think you are busy now - just wait!)
